TELEHEALTH VISIT QUALIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS

 
 
As a reminder please advise that the following DO NOT QUALIFY on Telehealth Online visits and it’s always best to book instead at https://vivacare.ca/ with our 9 Viva Care walk in clinics for best assessment and best possible care.
 
Telehealth Online Doctors platform cannot issue the following hence must book appointment to our one of vivacare.ca walk in clinic Drs instead for best care as possible.
 
The following visits Types of Visits  DOES NOT QUALIFY on Telehealth Doctors Online platform:
 
  • No any specialist referrals  can be made on Telehealth doctors online platform except Allied health services referrals such as the following (Registered Massage Therapy, Orthotics, Physiotherapy, Chiropractor referrals) which can be given on Telehealth.
  • No MVA, ICBC, Work Safe BC, Disability forms and cases 
  • No X-ray, CT Scan, Ultrasound and any imaging requisition
  • No narcotics, no any controlled substances, no opiates, benzodiazepine, cannabis
  • For Prescription refills, patient is required to list ALL Rxs needing during filling up registrations. Only Rxs listed upon registrations would be re prescribed or please simply advise the coordinator to add any missing Rxs in the list prior seeing our Telehealth doctor
  • Visitation time basic standard: 10 mins for Rx and Rx refills, Lab review, Lab request, health advise, Drs note,Allied Health services referrals and 15-20 mins for counselling each visit.
  • For any additional another type or any other reason of visit. Patient or Telehealth Coordinators could always easily re-book to set another appointment time during the same week (but not on the same day) as we highlyt value and respect time of all other patients who are also waiting to see our Telehealth online doctors. To focus with one issue at a time would provide better quality of care during our short time of visits online.

TELEHEALTH REQUIREMENTS

Viva Care Telehealth Phone Doctors required:

PHOTOS OF AFFECTED AREAS prior Telehealth consultations for Coordinators to attach to patient Chart prior and before consultation.

Photos of affected areas such as closer look of tonsils, acne, rashes, skin diseases, bruises, bumps, eye infection and more that requires Visual photos for doctors to help Doctors assessed patients better specially for phone consultations.

(In case doctor ask for photos during the appointment, please email photos of affected area within an hour at telehealth@vivacare.ca to ensure doctor could see photos within time frame, but we always highly recommend it’s always best that photos of affected areas would be all emailed prior appointment times to save your time and for best visual care.)

Dr’s last name you’re consulting with: Urgent Photo for (your Full Name) so, Coordinator on duty could attach helpful, visual photos ahead of time.

If Viva Care Telehealth phone patients requires Lab requisition, Telehealth doctors would evaluate if patients are required to make travel arrangements to the Viva Care Clinic in Surrey of the ordering physician if the results are abnormal because some labs requires in person assessment. It is a College of Physicians requirement that doctors can follow up on the labs and arrange in person exams if necessary.

For All Private Pay Telehealth Patients: In case of any College complaint: Must be done only within British Columbia, Canada not outside the jurisdiction contract -Governing Law and Jurisdiction.  Agreed and emailed copy at: telehealth@vivacare.ca prior Telehealth doctor connects.

For pediatrics/sick kids, Coordinator on duty would help reserve 20 min time slots for the doctors assessed patients thoroughly.

  • Please advise that for any cancellations or for any booking changes our patient is required to simply to email us within 24 hours at: telehealth@vivacare.ca

  • I hereby confirm that the above information is true and correct and that the MSP BC Health Care Card Personal Number I provided is current, active and valid (MSP BC Health care card always starts with 9 and a 10-digit number).

 

  • Patients without BC or private healthcare insurance will be required to pay for medical services after the appointment.

 

  • Telehealth Phone Doctors observed some phones automatically rejects private callers, prior to your appointment, simply visit your phone settings to allow private callers for Doctor security purposes.
