TELEHEALTH CANCELLATION & NO-SHOW POLICIES
Our goal is to provide quality medical care in a timely manner. In order to do so Vivacare Telehealth Online have had to implement an appointment cancellation/no show policy. The policy enables us to better utilize available appointments for our patients in need of medical care.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
In order to be respectful of the medical needs of the community, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to attend an appointment. Vivacare Telehealth Online Doctor requires at least 24 hours’ notice and not cancelling 2 hours before booked appointment, so that your appointment time can be reallocated to someone else. Please click cancel button or reschedule button on our website when schedules needs to be changed or cannot make it on our clinic or our Telehealth online.
Appointments and productive use of time are always in demand, and your early cancellation will give another person the possibility to have access to timely medical care. Late cancellations will be considered as a “no show”.
Appointment “No Show” Policy
A “no show” is someone who misses an appointment without cancelling it within a full working day (24 hours) and who fails to present at the time of a scheduled appointment. Both of these will be recorded in the patients’ chart as a “no show”. The first time there is a “no show”, the patient will simply told about this policy via phone and via email. The second time, an email and a phone call would be received alerting them to the fact that they have failed to show up for an appointment and did not cancel the appointment will be noted to our system; outlining clearly our “no show” policy. This record is kept in your chart for 12 months and will only be cleared or resets if you have been billed $50 and cleared this amount for your no show fee. (Our policy is on a 12 rolling months’ period, which means that we only look back the last 12 months before the last missed appointment). We would not count it as no show if the type of visit does not qualified on Telehealth online and patient was proactively cancelled booked appointment but marked as cancelled by the coordinator. Two “no shows” will result in the temporary suspension of services until the fee has been cleared.
